Driving with the wipers on! — What a ride!

September is starting out HOT! And I’m not talking about the weather.

The calendar is loaded for the first week and a half of next month. On the first, I’m delighted to be back at Venti’s South for the fourth time this summer. I enjoy the outdoor setting and the warm reception (in any weather) from both guests and staff. And I’m excited to announce that I’ll be at the downtown Venti’s in October with my full band. More on that in a moment.

Later that same weekend, I’ll be breaking new ground at Gilgamesh’s flagship location—The Campus—next to the brewery in South Salem. That’s a Sunday afternoon gig from 2-4. Jean Marie will be joining me for that show!

Finally, my much-anticipated debut with the new “full band” will happen on Saturday night, September 9th, at Mac’s Place in Silverton. I’ve been to a couple open mics there in anticipation of taking the stage with my band. Again, it's a very friendly place that I’m happy to be getting to know better. My band will include bass and drums that night. I’ll make introductions of my new musical cohorts very soon. If you are concerned about volume, my goal always is to have that under control, with plenty of space in the music as well. There will be more opportunity for stretching out on some tunes as well—something I really can’t do solo.

So yes, I’m excited! And in October, and for the third time this summer/fall, I’ll be back with Jean Marie (and maybe other guests) at the High Water Grill in Silverton on Sunday, October 15th, from 3 to 6 in the afternoon.

Later that week, I have the next Venti’s show I mentioned above. That’s Friday, October 20th, this time downtown at 325 Court St. And that, too, will be with my larger band. (Well, not that large.)
